If I could be friends with Tad and his wife Amanda Hesser, I would.
I read "Cooking for Mr. Latte" in about a week, and have been a faithful reader of Amanda Hesser since.
I also read the New Yorker whenever I have the cash/a dictionary handy/a month to spare sitting on my couch -- so when I came across this interview with Hesser's husband Tad, I read it in full.
It has great insight into his writing process and the life (sigh!) of a New Yorker writer.
It also led me to Amanda Hesser's profile on Media Bistro, where I finally learned why she left the New York Times.
